The CIPS London Dulux Revolution 185 mile story – as told by a non-cyclist
I live with a very keen cyclist making me a cycling widow. I am equally a very reluctant social cyclist. In fact, the last time I was on 2 wheels was a good few years ago (just prior to the sickness taking hold of my husband) despite having been bought an apparently high-end bike which now sits, unused, gathering dust, in the garage, next to his 5 or 6 bikes. This he mentions regularly.
CIPS Spring Training Camp to Majorca to sort the men out from the boys...
The CIPS core cycling team, of Francis, Mike, Bruce and Jonathan, recently spent a week training hard in Majorca. With its fantastic scenery, great weather and challenging climbs, Majorca has become the destination for cyclo-tourists. Francis said that "clearly we weren't the only ones thinking it was a good place to cycle as we must have seen at least 2000 other cyclists there - no exaggeration!" They all came back in one piece, tired but already organising the next trip. This is sure to become an annual event.
Charity Photography Challenge!
As part of our commitment to CSR and fundraising activities, we have produced an autumn range of CIPS cycling jerseys and invited those wearing them to take part in our Charity Photography Challenge.
We are asking our friends and colleagues to take photos/selfies of themselves wearing their jerseys on rides and we will select up to 7 great photos a month, make a donation to one of our chosen charities - Action Medical Research, The Disability Group and Aspire - and feature the chosen photos on our website. So keep an eye on our Photography Challenge page for photos of our CIPS jerseys popping up all over the country and maybe even globally! If you haven't received yours yet, it should be with you in the next few days.
